CoralExplorer Project

Establishing a multi-scale omics data resource spanning “genomes–cellular expression–environmental responses” to explore the evolution of biological complexity in corals.

The CoralExplorer project aims to build high-quality genome resources and single-cell transcriptomic atlases spanning diverse phylogenetic lineages of stony corals, providing a unified data foundation for dissecting coral biological complexity and addressing key evolutionary questions. The knowledge generated will support coral reef conservation and restoration, coral aquaculture and breeding, and biomineralization-inspired marine biomaterials.
